Before you start on your application to the Tippecanoe Online Academy, take a look at the enrollment process.
Self-discipline and time management. With no fixed class schedule or physical presence to hold them accountable, students must exhibit strong self-regulation skills. They need to create and adhere to personal study routines, set realistic goals, and maintain focus amidst potential distractions.
Self-motivation is key, as they must take responsibility for their learning journey and stay engaged without external prompts. Adaptability is also essential, as online learning platforms and technologies may vary, requiring students to quickly acclimate to new interfaces and tools.
Effective communication skills are vital for online learners. They must be able to articulate their thoughts and questions clearly through written communication, as it becomes the primary mode of interaction. Active participation in virtual discussions and seeking clarification when needed are critical to foster meaningful learning experiences.

At the Tippecanoe Online Academy, our focus will be on providing a strong foundation for academic success, aligning our course offerings with the Indiana Core 40 diploma track. We understand the importance of preparing our students for their future endeavors, whether it be higher education, the workforce, or any other pursuit they choose.
With Graduation Pathways, students are able to individualize their graduation requirements to align to their postsecondary goal of Enrollment, Employment, or Enlistment leading to service. No longer must all students fit into the same academic mold, but rather, they can choose the high school options that best meet their postsecondary goals and aspirations.
Beginning with the graduating class of 2023, Indiana high school students must satisfy all three of the following Graduation Requirements:
- Earn credits necessary for a High School Diploma;
- Learn and Demonstrate Employability Skills; AND
- Demonstrate Postsecondary-Ready Competencies.

✅Student's Proof of Age
If you need a copy of your child's birth certificate, you can order it online through the Indiana State Department of Health website. Please visit the Vital Records webpage for more information.
✅Proof of Residency
The state of Indiana requires school districts to collect proof of Indiana residency documentation for all students. To comply, we are asking you to submit documentation that shows your name and current address (parent/guardian). Documentation must show the date, parent/guardian name and an address.
✅Prior Academic Records
All students who have previously attended public school, private school, or homeschool are eligible to enroll and will be requested to submit academic records for placement.
