Tippecanoe School Corporation
Technology Information

All TOA courses are delivered online through our learning management system, Canvas. All instructional content and interaction takes place over the internet. Students should be comfortable:

  • using word processing skills
  • sending/receiving email with attachments
  • search the internet
  • uploading / downloading files

TOA students will be issued a TSC Google account which they will use to access their student email (Gmail) and the Google productivity suite (Workspace for Education). This includes access to Google Drive, Docs, Slides, and Sheets. Students’ Google accounts will be used to login to a variety of third-party platforms, including but not limited to Canvas and Zoom.

Enrollment at the Tippecanoe Online Academy requires students to have a reliable computing device and consistent access to high speed internet. Unlike TSC's traditional high schools, TOA does not provide devices to students.

The technical requirements for different device options are listed below. TOA strongly encourages Chromebooks for ease-of-use and efficient support, however students are also welcome to utilize iPads, PCs, or Mac computers.

An option to purchase a discounted device through a TOA trusted partner will soon be available.
